Hey everybody, I have been advertising for gutter cleaning on my flyer and somebody actually wants it done !! Just wondering if anybody can give me some tips on how to price it. By the job like I do everything else or an hourly rate for something like that? Any insight is appreciated !!

Thanks !!

Your hourly rate or how much you would like to make per or times how many hours it will take you. Everyone will give you a different answer based on how much they make per hour. Gutter cleaning to me is a piece of cake and usually takes me no longer then a hour on any house. I usually feel the customer out and charge between 85-100 per hour.

for gutters that arent that dirty take your blower and blow out the crap out for the stuff thats tougher to get out get you a little scoop you can find them at lowes for like $5 its money well spent but dont quote a price til you get up there and check them out ive seen gutters so bad that there were little oak tree sprouts starting to grow in them id totally charge a minimum of $25 its work getting on some peoples roofs think about it you have to set up your ladder tie you a rope on your tools climb the ladder pull your tools up then when you get done lower them back down then climb down and take your ladder down

btw be careful wasps and bees seem to like gutters also

$45+ minimum here for 1 story, 1500 sq ft. Just get up there with the back pack blower. Not much call for it anymore with gutter screening so popular. Something to do when there is not much else to do or help out a regular customer.
I wouldn't do steep roof or 2 story homes. Not worth the risk

charge a minimum of $25
that sounds way low to me, I wont touch gutters for anything less then $ 75.00 I charge by linear ft, not by hour, when gutters arent clogged up all you have to do is set the ladder up once, I've got a crappy old craftsman handheld gas blower I take up and just blow everything out of the gutters, it takes no time so pricing by the linear ft makes more sense. I charge $ 1.00 /linear ft for 1st story, $ 1.25-1.50/linear ft 2nd story depending on how hard they are to reach then third story I swing for the fences and way overbid since I'd rather not do them

agree with HawgCty. $1.00/ running ft. add .50 for the 2nd story. I check them first to see if it is really needed. I'm not gonna just take money for no work. Do them before you cut if you have the account. Save time, blow out the landscaping and mulch the mess. Make sure your insurance covers elevated work. With some Ins. 6' is a magic number. Silly question: Why would you offer the service in a flyer and not have a clue what to bill? just asking
