rear tire wear on inner side of tire?

Why is that my rear tire is wearing from the inner side of my 12×24. My tire pressure has always been set to 12psi. You would think the center would wear first. The center has a lot if tread but inside is practically bald. Any ideas? Should I increase pressure. It is a 2013 ferris 3100 z with 650 hrs on original tires. Thanks

Don't they have independent rear suspension? If they do and the wheel pivots on a swing arm a arm setup the camber changes with weight. Ever been behind a Mercedes or BMW the rear tires always tilt in at the top. This helps them corner with the negative camber. You will see a lot of import cars that are lowered and do this too. Could your mower be doing this? You may not see it with your eye but there is actually a gauge you can put on the hub or spindle square and it will give you a reading for the camber.

They should not be doing this because its a double A-arm setup. The tire should stay at the same angle no matter where in the suspension travel it is which is perpendicular to the ground.

However if the bushings in the A-arms are worn out then it will ride at an angle. Park it on something flat and level and walk behind it and take a look. Or get the rear tire off the ground, grab hold of it and try moving it by hand.

Although Wright standers wear the tires like this all the time. I dont go through nearly as many tires for ZTR's as I do for the Standers.
