That suspension is decent and I used that suspensionon multiple different mowers. Have since moved on to a Puffer suspension and found it way better for my personal needs. Having some kind of suspension is better then none. Can't believe a suspension of some type isn't a stock item on every new commercial mower come on its 2016 !!!

I had thought of that kit for my 2006 Ferris 1500Z but my old seat had come apart from its base so I ordered a Milsco Deluxe suspension seat from Northern Tool, but it is considerably higher priced at $349, item #17566-1656. It works great but the seat switch was different so I just disconnected it.

 

Man I would get the right safety switch to work on your seat. When I was younger and dumber I once had a old bobcat mower with safety switches disconnected and came close to hurting myself along with damaging a custs fence. That experience enlightened me and now if a safety switch is not working the mower doesn't leave the shop. This equipment will kill or maim you in a blink of an eye. It's probably just a simple swap out of a normally open switch to a normally closed switch or vise versa. Ya there you go ACRES. It is a nice seat. Have had mine for years. No problems. Well there is just this one thing. You gotta get used to your feet no being able to touch the deck since you sit so much higher. Does not effect the machines stability however.
