Wondering if anyone has had a chance to use the latest version of the Toro Turfmaster with the swivel wheels

Have not tried it Joe, but I've used plenty of swivel wheel push mowers and they make the mower less compact, harder to access tight areas and difficult on slopes, which, for us, is the entire point of using a push mower.

Toro keeps trying to put make-up on this pig but strip it away and what's left is a heavy, cumbersome push mower that's not nearly as agile, good on slopes or accessible as a light 21".

Thanks for the feedback. Swivel wheel unit is $4 666 at local dealers but with a spring sale, they are going for $4 199 on promo price. They are big and heavy units for sure but there's not much else in a bigger width unless you move up to the hydro 36 inch units. 21 inch commercial Toros are the gold standard for sure but they've gotten expensive. Timemaster is cheaper and lighter but not sure how effective they are compared to the 21 inch commercials.

Cut is terrible in spring. Clump clump clump. We cut same stuff.

one long 21” blade does much better than those tiny blades on the 30. Plus you are moving slower on turns, of which there are many on push mower lawns and god help you if you have slopes.

guarantee you’ll be more productive with an sr or 22290 series if your push mower lawns are like ours.

Add a 36” hydro when you can. Don’t settle for the 30 crap

and the swivel wheels can be locked when needed on the swivel model.

21 Scag too heavy for our use. Whipping it around small lawns and slopes all day gets old fast. And it don’t mulch as good as the Toro. Deck is deep but a lot of junk under the deck for BBC.

The non bbc Toro’s, preferably the 22290, which is lightest com unit, or the sr can’t be beat.

Thanks for the feedback. The Scag 21 is definitely heavy. I saw it in the store and it felt heavy on the floor. I don't think Toro makes the 22290 anymore. Honda HRC216 is interesting and a lot cheaper than the Toro commercial 21 inch but I don't think they work as well as The Toro.
