A few people in my area bought the big system to provide trash cleaning and pressure washing. They are out of business now.

 

I guess that was a trashy idea wasn't it

 

Bleach water and a scrub brush... sounds like a simple business start up. Lmao

 

In our area the trash company provides the containers for free. If you want a new one, you call them up and they deliver. People call to get a free can when they get grungy.
Even in areas where cans are not free, I don't see a viable business unless you get a whole neighborhood to agree to having their cans cleaned, and you do the cleaning on trash day.

 

I really don't care what the inside of my trash can looks like and I'm pretty sure when I told someone what it would cost to wash theirs out they wouldn't either.

 

Someone on here said they service a neighborhood where residents put their dog mess in a separate bin from their other trash.

I bet there is a market for it in that area.

 

Trash can cleaning service for everyone in Las Vegas Valley. So just like a few of you said that this kind of market doesn't work. Well let me be the first to tell you that in Las Vegas there are a few companies that provide this service to the community. it is very hot here and you have no idea how people here complain about the smell of their trash. The smell gets so bad that once people get them cleaned once, they never go back to not getting them cleaned. It is super cheap to get the trash cans cleaned that i offer the monthly service at 22.99 when some people that get them cleaned by themselves would rather pay the $23 rather than them getting their and cleaning them themselves. We also deodorize and sanitize the trash cans so that bacteria stops growing and you get that fresh scent when you open the lid. It's possible he meant commercial garbage bins. Many of my properties have bin cleaning services. Pretty nasty service, cant stand the smell when they do it in the middle of the summer.

 

When I pressure wash my driveway (4,000psi / 3.5gpm / turbo nozzle) I also clean my property's ~60 gallon City dual wheeled bins interior and exterior.

This is a messy operation.

The bin must be located against something immobile, like a tree, building or vehicle, so it doesn't scoot away from the water pressure.

A downward sloping work area is preferred for draining and visual interior observation.

There is always splashing when cleaning the interior, getting the operator wet and dirty.

It is virtually impossible to get the interior completely clean because of the container shape.
