When I buy a roll of line I cut it into 4 arm length sections and tape them up with e-tape. Then when I run out of line there's always some in the tool box.
 
I've kept my rolls on the trailer for decades. Never an issue. I also figure they get rained on enough to keep them wet.
agreed. It's rather humerous the things people have time to think about. I put mine in my truck, and when i need to use it, i cut it off and put it in my string trimmer head. and it works. I've never ever seen string trimmer line get brittle, maybe after a decade, but who keeps theirs for that long sitting in the sun.
 
Those of us that actually go through the stuff, never have an issue with it drying out.

Because, it doesn't stick around long enough to GET brittle.

Maybe if you buy a 3Lb spool once a year, yea, maybe. My guys go through a 3lb spool in a month and a quarter.
