I am not really complaining but it would be nice if there was a trimmer that I could stand up to use.Any brand out there that is made for us taller guys ?

Ya! I am 6'4" and I agree with you 100% I might sound like I am whining, but my back aches every day when I am done mowing, and it's cuz of my trimmer, and I've always thought about inventing something that you could attach to te trimmer to make it easier for taller people, but idk...

Yeah it's just that little bit of a bend in my back that is the killer.Standing up straight would be such a joy.

Practice, also it may be necessary to balance your trimmer, perhaps
if you move the left-hand handle back up the trimmer a bit, towards
the throttle?
YUP! Scoot that baby up! not a fix-all, but it helps

I guess I will have to visit my Stihl and Echo dealers and spend some money.

I suggest a trimmer that comes with one of those dangling bull nuts to put on the rear view mirror. A man of 6'3" shouldn't settle for anything less.
what kind would that be?

You would think every big time manufacturer would have at least one extended shaft trimmer in their line-up.Not all weed trimmer users are 5'5" Mexicans.

No, but evidently every person pushing a Toro Comercial 21" is... those have ridiculously short handles!

I use an Echo and at 6'4", it hasn't caused any problems yet (been using it for 6 years)... I would like to have something a tad longer, but I don't know if that would really solve the reach issues...

think the FS 46 an handle comercial work?
Well yes it can handle it, I have 2 and I love them. They aren't a real commercial unit but it can handle it....yeah u may go through them a little quicker than nice commercial ones but they are tall and allows us tall guys (im 6'4") to stand up. some hate the curved shaft but I like it, it is very easy to keep it level and they are super light. I can trim sooo much faster and better with the FS compared to the heavier straight shafts.

I'm not reading the posts, so maybe this has been suggested, but I'd look for handles that are longer.

Echo used to use a rather long handle and now they are stubbier and shorter and I also find them less comfortable to use. So I just pulled handles off old units and switched them out.

If you don't have one around you may be able to find them on old busted units people are selling for parts. Or sold seperately on ebay. Provides you a few extra inches so you're not stooping over to trim.
