I would love to do a side by side comparison on this prop with stick edger vs string trimmer.

I've got an edger sitting in the shed. But that's all it does. As long as it not a foot over grown not much use imo.
I could see training wise how it would be easier. Once an edge is set though it pretty straight forward. Also based on your location and turf I could see why, but I've edged Bermuda and zoysia no issue as well. But higher end housing has fescue here

Lots of lawns just using a edger and mower will leave lots of un-cut edges, The parking here is a V , no way can a dger /mower get all the grass.
