So I have this new all season account, typical cool season blend of grass in the front. Now in the back 50% is cool season ,then there's a straight horizontal seam if you will, where the other 50% of grass butts up to it.I have no idea what kind of turf that is, its a bit of a nightmare to work with.It lays flat, if you cut it too short I would imagine you'd see brown and stolons, air blowing the clumps turns it all raggedy, then going back over it with the mower puts it back into shape.Shes a nice lady & I think she would agree to Round up that mess in Sept.

Nice, when I got there this am the front lawn was a bit stressed, thought it was odd as she has irrigation, anyway she had it looked at come to find mice chewed up the wiring in the underground control box.

Its possible, perhaps if it were trained low,but @3-3.5" cant tell, air blasting it turns it into a ruffled mess. Its all thick stolons under the top growth.I didn't try this but I'd bet theres 8" of growth if pulled from the base of the stolons. To get a true 3.0" cut it would be all stolons.
Bentgrass? Like a putting green?
