I have one that is about like that bit at the bottom is a major US Hwy have no where to run in case we get in trouble have had to get my wife to remove the seat from my bottom a couple of times not scared of the hill but sure have respect for it .Sorta like when I was a gasoline tanker transport driver you load 9200 gals of gas loved hauling it was not scared of it but had the highest respect for it

I would guess 35% but pictures can be misleading. Some of the pictures look steeper depending on the angle. I wouldn't try it but I bet my tiger would mow that horizontally. Cut at a bit of an angle and I'm sure a tt would do it. Dry of course.

I've taken my tiger of the trailer mowed the front go out back then chicken out*trucewhiteflag* ........go get the w/b....its steeper than it looks in the pictures, one section I think is about 45%..In the first picture about three mower widths (stripes) up from where it sits is the steepest section/runs

smcunningham, I have 2 properties that have pretty much same degree of that slope except mine is little bit shorter, less area to mow, but yes, it is pretty much same way, sideway mowing only. I have 52" eXmark TTHP with 17 kawi/jungle wheel but I can not use sulky, only crabwalk all the way, been doing these two yards since April 2003! no rider can cut them, only wb

No, I wouldn't try it! If it's a true 45% no way. I was just speaking hypothetically it might do it but not with me on there.

ahhh someone enjoys a challenge as much as I do.

I find it strange how the manuals say no mower can reasonably cut slopes steeper than 15 degrees, yet looking at it sure don't seem that shallow... Still, it's not too bad overall but there's a couple spots look awful tricky. Where the Wb is at first doesn't look too awful, but right under that porch where the trees are LOL and on the other side, too.

Regardless of actual degrees, it's definitely borderline, you really can't get any steeper before you can't cut it with a regular mower.

Here's 15 degrees, sure doesn't look too bad on paper:

Dang... you know, it's about impossible to tell in pictures...

It looks maybe 30 degrees except the first picture.
But it's probably steeper than that.

I've put up some pictures here that looked close... and then some more with my slope meter on them and they were 35 & 40 degrees repectively... but you had to see the slope meter to believe it.

What I'd like to know is if you ride the sulky across that?

I have another property that I do that is steeper will take some pics next tuesday.....you all will think i'm crazy.....give you an idea I go to the top aim w/b down hill in low gear let it go by itself and run around the side of hill and meet it at bottom and retreive it do this like 5 times...theres nothing for it to hit unless it goes 100yds across a corn feild and threw a stream......I get paid top dollar cause no other lco in the area wants to deal with "the hill"
tkes 40 mins to maintain whole property and i make 120$

Now that would be pushing my luck..H*LL NO
It's bad enough I bring cleets with me so I can barely walk behind the w/b

I know I'd try to ride that with my ZTR... at least once anyways...
Dang'd if I'd want to try to walk all over that with a walkbehind.

This is why I like lawn tractors.
If my ZTR wouldn't do it, I'd just go get on the lawn tractor and ride it no trouble at all.

Since the first pic gives the best angle at the slope from the side (straight into the slope) I used that one to measure the angle.

28 degrees is all it is.

The banking at Talledega Superspeedway is 33 degrees.
Yeah... it looks 28-30 degrees... which feels like 45 degrees when you are trying to mow it.

But we can't tell what it really is by trying to measure a picture.
I thought I proved that point a long time ago with my slope meter.

I posted pictures of 35, 40, 45, etc and none of them looked that steep in pictures.
Then I took pictures of the same with the slope meter on them...

Here's a perfect example of how a camera just can't seem to capture a slope.
Not and do it any justice...

Guys were guessing this was 20-22 degrees.

So I set my slope meter on it.
Then I went down to the other end and snapped a pic.

Then I walked back to the slope meter and took a closeup.

This slope was a dead 40 degrees, but looked half that in pictures.
