I purchased a new TigerCat2 61" 32hp Vanguard about 6wks ago. The steering seems to be very sensitive. I've used ztr's for the past 22 years and know each unit takes a bit to get the hang of.

I moved the hydro dampener to the lower setting. It originally was in the middle hole. Should I have went to the top hole instead?

Does that machine have the 5400 transaxle? If so, that would be MY guess for why it feels like it does. I always felt like my Cheetah was super touchy or twitchy compared to other machines I’d run with the traditional pumps and wheel motors. I have not heard anyone else complain about that besides me lol!

raising the stick/handle heights to max should also decrease sensitivity.
taller sticks = more distance required to move them through their full range of travel
Actually, you have it backwards. Raising the sticks give you more leverage and increases the sensitivity. That’s coming from someone who is 6’6” who has the lever extensions. I place my hands down low on the sides of the sticks. That’s where I’ve found it to have the smoothest control at.
