I've got to rebuild about 10 decks over the next few months..
I'm gonna need a bunch of foot pedal pawls and sprokets..as well as Tplates..pivot stands...idler arms...Junk like that...

The local dealers are not members of my fanclub...go figure...
Anyone know of a Dixie Dealer that will give a break on the parts in bulk..??

Thanx fer checkin....RestroRob....

I'm seriously thinkin bout becoming a DINO...Dealer In Name Only...(not a dinosaur...still a few years before that happens)
Many of the larger landscape companies open a mower shop as an S Corp to be able to buy parts and eqpt at dealer prices..
The aftermarket parts are really dropping in quality lately ...so you have to really do your homework to avoid the junk...
For some reason...the local dealers don't like it when I return the junk to them...unopened and unused of course...

Not sure that would help you much. Most mower manufacturers wont let you be a dealer for them(aka buy their parts) unless you stock/sell the machines as well. It would probably help you for aftermarket parts and engine parts depending on their requirements...

:hammerhead:...Lynch Punxatawny Phil....low 40s in central fl...??? Won't hit 60 today...:hammerhead:

The landscapers with around 100 employees routinely become mower dealers.....
Like the one Rickydl77 works for....they setup a storefront and become their own customer..
The handheld eqpt dealers only require minimum purchases...(not Stihl though)
We use a bunch of Redmax...so that might be an option...
The owner of the company I work for is considering it...

Try Paul Burkheimer at Burkheimer lawn and Garden
www.burkheimerequipment.biz
He is in Maryland and is a longtime DC dealer. Heck of a nice guy also. I used to get parts from him for my lawn equipment shop, since i was not a DC dealer.
He shipped them to me all the way out here in Texas.
I got my first Dixie from Paul. He is a man that knows how to wheel and deal. And list price is just a suggestion to him. :cool2:
