LOVE the gorilla lift, HATE the plastic rollers?

Soooo, i love to fabricate with steel, however do not own a lathe. Who could I get to cut me some hardened rollers like those on the gorilla lift?

I think the design is great for most users, but they should make a commercial grade unit. We have those ramps going up and down 20 times a day and we burn through the rollers. I also don't mind paying a decent price to them for parts like cables and springs but 32 bucks for a PAIR of rollers is a bit steep.

Just finally found a machine shop that will replicate these rollers without an order of a million units. They do however want me to buy at least 20 or 30. Anyone interested in beefing up thier lift gate system let me know. I am awaiting a price on them but they should be pretty hard core, made out of stainless steel.

I would absolutely be interested in purchasing these metal rollers. As many as you have extra. Please let me know how i can go about paying you for them and getting them shipped. Thanks!

OUCH! The first bid came back at $27.50 EACH! I have six on my trailer so that's $165 for me.

I submitted the dimensions to about 8 different machine shops so we'll see what else comes up.

I really need to rectify my ramp issue so I would probably pay that if I had to, especially since buying new plastic ones will cost me $90 and will wear out by the end of the spring.

OK second quote was much better but we have to use at least 70 rollers! I need 8, who wants the other 62?

$9.75 EACH. I think we should order them, who wants to go in on them? I'll have to know that at least 40 rollers are sold and paid for before I shell out $700 for this!

Any takers??

ha HA!

After much time and searching I have found them for $7.50 each with a minimum order of only 10!!

It has been suggested that they be made from brass to keep the cables from wearing pre-maturely. Anyone want any please let me know and I'll order them. I am getting 8 pieces myself. I thought it might be best to put a private listing on ebay and share the link so I can get paid in advance but you have a more secure way of buying than just sending money. I can put the listing up for sale in pairs and you can specify how many pairs you would like.

Thanks!
