anyone ever use one? https://www.minitrencher.com/
I saw them at the IA and thought it would come in handy for working in tight areas and for burying drip. Thoughts?

I saw it too, I loved the video it was very well edited. It tooks like it would be good for wire installation

To me it has the cool looks and that's pretty much it. It looks like an extreme amount of muscle use, bending over with the back, too narrow of a width ( It was only 2" or less) , It didn't seem to have anykind of auger to help dispense the dirt and the flaps didn't seem that strong? Like a rock could kick back and hit you since you are so close

Might as well dig by hand with a 4" trenching shovel. Probably easier on your back than holding a cutoff saw hunched over all day like that.

And cheaper :)

I saw one of these at our local equipment shop. I can't remember if it's this company or another one just like it but originally they were converting Stihl chainsaws into these. They got a cease and desist letter from Stihl from what I was told. My only concern would be the potential for kickback if you hit a big root or a rock. That and like others have mentioned..... I'm not sure I'd want to be bent over all day with this thing running at 5000 RPM only a couple feet from my head :dizzy:

Look at the brown bed edger. It's great for several jobs but the larger models can do a 1" or 2" wide 12" deep trench. That will work great for lawn areas and open beds. Tight beds you'll need to get out a trenching spade.
