Hey guys,
So the Stihl regional rep came to my house for some product demos a few weeks ago, and we were discussing the BR700 and what I felt was a lack of scouring power. He turned me on to the curved tip that they offer for $11 (part # 42827086303 ). I went ahead and bought one and wasn't expecting much but WOW. I never thought a silly thing like this would turn a blower into something so much better. It scours AMAZING now (you can even rotate it to point "down" and it will blow even the most difficult maple seed propellors out of thick grass - something I constantly struggle with), and moves piles faster and better. The angle of the tip in relation to the ground changes such that it picks up the leaves better, and moves them further. Almost like you were crouching down using the blower. I love this tip - if you have a BR700, you need to buy it - its hands down a huge, huge improvement and it changes the blower completely
