I AM a ISA Certified Arborist.

EAB is a FLATHEADED borer, that has a small D shaped Exit hole.

Yes I am sure. This is my Profession.
Relax. I have no intention of getting into a pi**ing war with you but let's just say you are preaching to the choir. Early Sept is not too late to see an adult ALB, unless you have had a frost.

September 9th was far TOO Late to see an Adult ALB. Did the Arborist point that out to you?

Also where on LI is the Tree located?
I was speaking in general. Not a specific tree or time. I ran into him at a property. I was looking for them end of July/August. Sites were saying mid to late summer. Aside frlme that, do we have native borers with that size those patterns?
I just want to know what species so I can prevent/kill and know what to plant.

I suggest you contact: https://treehealth.com/ for diagnosis and treatment.
Oh ha is that you?? This is more for getting the town to do something or state/federal money and keeping my property and customers' protected with variated plantings and proper treatments. If you or someone wants business there are trees waaaay out of my league and worth trip IF they will pay.

Here is a link for the GDD base 50 "Adult emergence timing" For a nearby weather station in Riverhead the dates of emergence were June 24th-July 26th (Peak) , perhaps this is why you did not see any of the ALB Adults?

Oh you're awesome thank you!! Printing that list! Surprised to see Rose of Sharon... At my place I'm chipping away at the Black Cherries. Just about everyone in the town has Anthracose, brown spot. Crap Had 2 35 footers fall into driveway last 4 years... I uncovered very large larvae over winter while taking down. major damage. They're not listed anywhere, but I don't see why not. Regardless, a large borer and diseases are wreaking havoc. Not sure if you saw my photos or not. Have some video of the enormous amount of land that is ready for ignition.

Anyway my place, the wood I could use that I didn't burn in the outdoor fire pit for weeks had over 50 years of rings.. at least. 70 years seems to be the rare max out here. 6 down another 8 to go. Big boys. Want to at least salvage unnaffected portions for woodwoork/firewood before they are too far gone.
Plantings in between felling at my property: I saved 8 emeralds from people who refused deer fencing🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ bunch of Vitex randomnly... 9 Giants ( not hedge ) 1 dura heat Birch, 2 Eastern Red Buds, 1 western cedar, 2 taylor Juniper....
Potential upcoming plantings (dormant plant?) Catalpa, Tulip poplar or some Real Poplar... debating the London plane. Black locust to fight the bamboo (yes I know lol)... Also great wood!!! Maybe a black mimosa and In love with the Royal Frost birch. This is all revegetation and clearing as I go. 4 year project. Clearing and MAJOR regrade.Mostly natives. Will definitely weight out with your list. It's a resistance, erosion, barrier design basically. Have a property with 10, yes 10 London Planes... Some are 3 feet off the house.
I swear. Some of these designers. It would be funny if they weren't so arrogant and didn't get paid so much.
Tangent:
Already try to individually write up or set irrigiation schedules for people. Humic, fulvic, chelated iron and occasional stimulator. Won't do needle mulching and dissuade dyed mulch (usually full of fungus upon opening). Natural mulch compost mix and light prevenative/perm on bed/soil before and after mulch. Immidacloprid in Mid June for grubs. Use syringe for foliar measurements. Minimal properties, but results are beyond debate. Deer spray/fencing (wonder if liquid fence actually causes issues. can't be worse than deer though). The products work well at lesser rates than directed. Looking into the new world of bio's now. Seem hard to find and $$$, but wondering if Humic/Fulvic do the same job. A little confused if it's bioactive or bioactive/biological.

Thanks!

Good luck moving forward, and keep in mind that there will always be Anomalies ie. pests on trees they do not usually frequent normally.

The list is only a guide, keep that in mind.

Imidacloprid has some pretty strict guidelines, so keep that in mind as well.....ie Groundwater. Pardon the Pun.

Thank you! Extremely helpful and make me feel not so crazy...I wish I could upload this video....
And yes! I'm cautious of well water and run off, nearby bodies of water. It's really just for a few closer/trusted customers/mulch and my own property (#1). Actually stopped customers nuking places with scotts "whatever"or roundup

Definitely had some major wins with lesser applications. Adams family to tarzan in july lol. Not worth the hassle at this stage license and cert wise. Sticking with micro nutrients/fert. Weekly pepper and garlllic nutrient spray that coincides with deer not showing up 😄...See how bios work...

Random screenshots. Jumps highway. I it's all traveling. "Cedars" 32"diameter pines Oaks serviceberry bayberry... already messaged a few agencies. This will burn one way or other. Long Island Pine Barren part 2. Stupid policies. Spent tens of millions on destroying beach and hastening erosion...$$$ backdoor dealings. could have dumped some boulders and planted a few nightmare natives lol. The fires, erosion just feed their hysteria agendas. Can't imagine spots already with death sentences but with no real signs yet. People inside pockets of this. But no do not use your blower!! 😄

Oh and this day or two after heavy rain. Some screen shots of video. Literally taking 8 inch diameter trees down with one hand. Peeling back to heartwood with little force... just protecting what's in my power at this point. Sort of dom't care about laws and regulations when this cosanostra of disease is going on and not being addressed.
