Good call Patriot with the Come-Along! Essential!

There have been a lot of good ones...

I am a big proponent of planning for the best and preparing for the worst.

I have stuff squirreled away wherever I can fit it.... Tools, extra parts, extra everything!

One of the most important things that I'm not sure was mentioned is extra clothing.... Old boots/shirts/pants/rain gear.... You never know when you are going to get soaked or rip something or whatever the case may be...

INDEED! Extra socks can practically save your life...IE getting a hole in one and heading towards blister-city which could very well impact you for days.

Likewise, I carry a spare/old pair of boots with me as well...in case I submerge one foot/boots in a bog/quicksand/swamp.

Roll of toilet paper is a must just in case. I also carry a few 30ft tow straps and a come-a-long that I've used to pull my mowers out if the mid when I'm mowing alone. Another thing I always keep in the trailer is bee spray, tarps, ratchet straps and tie downs, jack stands and jack, fire extinguisher, oil, spare parts and spare blades

Alright, I have all these essentials luckily. However as the season starts I will upgrade my blower. I like my gas shears but don't see myself carrying them daily (Again, until I get an enclosed trailer). Any other gas or power equipment people carry as a must. I don't see myself getting a bed edger unless really needed. I am definitely not getting a power rake for the areas I intend on servicing. I have no intent on being an "Arborist" but may invest in a pole saw one day. Anything else you can think of?
Have you considered a bed toolbox and or a trailer tongue box. I was able to fit everything mentioned so far and more when I ran open trailers. Its much better having your chainsaw and power shears with you than need to put off the work. You also don't need to buy top end brand of these items either. I ran many years on garage sale chainsaws, pawn shop power shears and other flea market tool finds.

Oh yea, the swamp crotch, anti monkey butt or dry ballz powder. I like the gold bond products. Nothing worse than dealing with chaffing issues after your already raw. Speaking of that, has anybody tried the Duluth Trading underwear?

Its just awesome isnt itÂ… Half way through the day and ya red raw and even sitting on the mower is a chore, let alone the 2hrs of trimming still to be done in the afternoon.
Thing is, if what you use doesnt sort it over night you have the next day to look forward to.
That ointments the best stuff Ive found when your raw. I was told about it from a guy who worked up in the tropics. The key to using it though is scrubbing the effected area in the shower before application and I tell ya, that IS NOT FUN! No pain no gain though!

Good stuff.. I do intend on carrying a large majority of this stuff. I used to carry a spare set of socks back in the day.... That's great advice. My sister who was in the corp always said "number 1 rule, take care of your feet or you're useless".

Big sis always helping. A decade later and it still proves to be a great rule.

I do hang a trailer tongue box and I swear its already full with chains, ratchet straps etc.

Telescopic magnetic pick-up tool, Zanefel or Tecnu poison ivy scrubs, eye wash cup ( if you can't find a hose & even if do wear safety glasses) are a couple of things I have on my truck. Good posts, the tow strap has been a life saver.

A weeks worth of microfiber underwear. The skimpy'er the better. No rash, no raw, no swamp ass. Yeah, boxers are "cool", but the micro fiber skivvies are pure awesomeness. (Might want to get more than a weeks worth if your single or dont have a laundry fairy that magically does laundry while your asleep/out of the house).
